night before Xmas

twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring ( all being in a medicated stupor ) not even the mouse ( who the heck has time for computers on Christmas eve )
stocking were hung by the chimney with no care
trousers and linen draped by the chair
children were nestled all snug in their beds
santas not coming if you get up were the threats
papa with pink pills and mine pleasant blue
last minute chaos with to much to do
when out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
i sprung to the window to see whats the matter
the tree had fell over to heavily draped
the lights had exploded now fire they make
the moon on the breast of the new fallen snow
the fire gave luster to the chaos below
when what to my wonder eyes should appear
but a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer
with a little old driver so lively and quick
i knew in a moment my meds made me sick

CHRISTMAS WISH LIST

Something to hold within my hand
Something to remind me where with you I stand
Or something to wear for all time
Something to remind me that you are mine

Something I know you’ve handled with care
Something to feel close to you when your not there
Something I know comes from your heart
Something to say we’re never really apart

Perhaps something to show how deep you feel for me
Something that I can feel and see
Something to make me feel secure
Something to show that love will endure

I care not for material things
I just need something to make my heart take wings
I care not for lavish gifts as other’s do
All I want for Christmas is a part of you

Christmas tree

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
Thou tree most fair and lovely!
Oh Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
Thou tree most fair and lovely!
The sight of thee at Christmastide
Spreads hope and gladness far and wide
Oh Christmas tree, O Christmas tree
Thou tree most fair and lovely!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
Thou hast a wondrous message:
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
Thou hast a wondrous message:
Thou dost proclaim the Saviour's birth
Good will to men and peace on earth
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
Thou hast a wondrous message

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
You stand in verdant beauty
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
You stand in verdant beauty
Your boughs are green in summer's glow
And do not fade in winter's snow
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
You stand in verdant beauty

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
How laden are your branches
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
Your presence here enhances
Your silver star does glisten bright
Reflecting all the candlelight
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
How laden are your branches

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree
You fill all hearts with gaiety
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree
You fill all hearts with gaiety
On Christmas Day you stand so tall
Affording joy to one and all
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree
You fill all hearts with gaiety
